Take on a rewarding high-altitude trail run to the summit of Tsaghmut (2,700 m), a short but powerful climb with an elevation gain of about 810 meters. This 5 km route blends steady uphill running with breathtaking scenery, making it perfect for runners seeking a meaningful challenge without needing a full day.
Your adventure begins at 9:00 in the peaceful village of Tizi Oussem. From there, you’ll ascend traditional Amazigh trails, with plenty of stops to hydrate, fuel, and enjoy the surrounding peaks. Midway up, we pause at a mountainside shop—famous for its fresh orange juice and panoramic views over the High Atlas.
At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views of the Atlas Mountains, Imlil valley, and the terraced villages below. After descending back to Tizi Oussem, you’ll enjoy a freshly prepared tajine lunch—a warm, flavorful reward and a perfect taste of Amazigh hospitality.
